Grandma El's Diaper Rash Cream Review

Cloth Diaper Safe Cream

Nothing is worse than finding diaper rash on your little one during a diaper change. The redness looks so painful and as parents we really want to heal their delicate skin quickly! At the first sign of redness, I am quick to apply a diaper rash ointment on my son. I'll do anything to prevent the rash from getting worse. Using cloth diapers, it's important to be careful about the diaper rash creams you use. You can read my post for more details on this, but if you're using Desitin with your cloth diapers stop now!

I have recently started using Grandma El's diaper rash cream on my son as needed. It has done a great job at turning redness away during diaper changes. I love how thick it is and that it doesn't smell bad! If you've ever used Desitin you know what I'm talking about. It is safe to use with cloth diapers, but also great for parents who use disposable diapers. Noah has sensitive skin and his eczema will flair up with the use of many products. Grandma El's has been wonderful for his skin due to it's hypo-allergenic ingredients.

Cloth Diaper Safe CreamGrandma El's diaper rash cream is made from cloth diaper safe ingredients. It contains Vitamin E, Lanolin, and a couple other ingredients that are all FDA approved. It creates a barrier to protect the skin, while still allowing the skin to breathe which is important for healing. Not only is it great for diaper rash, but it has many other uses! You can use it on cradle cap, chapped cheeks, sunburn, eczema, and more! I definitely plan to try it on cradle cap next time we have a baby!

  1. We are trying to have a new baby and I never knew about cloths with my first baby so I am super excited to exclusivity CD the maybe baby! I admit I am terrified of Diaper Creams though, it seems the only horror stories of the cd world come out of the rare rash scenario! this looks like a real winner that isn't so so expensive and closer to what I used with my son

    1. Congrats! Don't be terrified! In over 1 year of cloth diapering, we have only had one rash. I was so scared I switched to disposables and used Desitin. It was cleared up in a couple days. No horror stories here! Good luck! :)

    2. !! I already have some fitteds and have been making prefold and fitteds! I have a few a thirsties cover and I think that it looks pretty AWESOME! a few aio (a bumgenius and a few Jelly beans that look promising) so I have a lot to try before making a large investment (I also am entering giveaways so I can get other stuff to try) now all we have to do now is get pregnant, lol

    3. Good luck! It quickly becomes an addiction! We're working on baby number 2 too. Have you seen my series on how to get free diapers? http://www.clothdiaperrevival.com/2012/03/how-to-score-free-diapers-part-4.html

  2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE grandma el's. My little guy is highly allergic to creams that have coconut oil so I have to be really careful since a lot of cloth diaper safe creams contain it. Grandma el's doesn't have it but it clears up rashes so quickly! And it smells great too!
