How to get free books for Christmas!

I love Christmas. It's my favorite holiday. I'm not one of those people grumbling about holiday decorations or merchandise at the store in September. I'm more "Yay! Christmas is coming!" My 4 year old asks every week if it's time to put up the Christmas tree yet and it's a struggle to hold back and wait for Thanksgiving to get here. Is it November yet?!

I love giving gifts at Christmas, but I also stress about the cost of Christmas every year. We have lots and lots of nieces and nephews. Christmas gifts add up quickly! I'm thrifty and creative! A couple years ago I discovered a way to get Christmas gifts for free! Around November (before Thanksgiving and people get too busy) I like to host a home party! My friends get to shop for Christmas presents and I get to earn free Christmas presents! I'm a big believer in giving books as gifts. Usborne Books makes the cutest, high quality books and they have great hostess rewards!

Here's just a very small sample of some of the books they carry.

Muddle and Match is an interactive board book with the cutest artwork ever!

Everyone Poops is perfect for potty training toddlers scared of pooping in the potty.

And What's Going On is helping us to prepare our little boy for the baby joining our family in the near future!

We've loved every Usborne book on our bookshelf! If you're local to the Raleigh area, hosting an in home party is a great way to earn books for your little one's book collection, but also for presents! If you aren't comfortable or don't have time for an in home party, Facebook parties are great too! Everyone can shop in their pajamas!

Giveaway! Robyn, my favorite Usborne represenative is giving away a book to one lucky reader! Just enter on the Rafflecopter below. Must be a US resident to win. Good luck!

  5. I think the best way to save money for Christmas is by putting a little on the side every month and finding the best sales!

  6. The best way we save money is to try to only buy when we see great sales or have good coupons. We also like doing promotions that throw in a free book, a free toy, etc. for buying a necessity. Books are a favorite of ours, so we're always on the lookout for book deals!

  7. I use coupons, sales and groupon. I also set aside money each month specifically for christmas. And when shopping online, I use swagbucks to earn swagbucks for purchases and then redeem those for gift cards.

  14. Discounts or $ off coupons from a store or site. We typically buy when things are on a big sale or stock up to get free shipping throughout the year, but it's taken a while to replenish what we did a few years ago when EVERytHING from our gift closet was wiped out!
