About Kim
Master's in Public Administration-Nonprofit and Health Administration, currently employed at a children's psychiatric hospital (3/4 wahm)

How long have you been cloth diapering?
I bought them before Wyatt was born, secondhand from Craigslist, but started full-time after the meconium passed.

Why did you choose to cloth diaper?
First it was for financial reasons as we have a lot of education debt and are trying to buy our first home, then I learned about all of the JUNK in sposies. Now, it is probably my biggest hobby, errrr obsession? I would do it over again a million times. And I have met a couple of friends from buying previously loved fluff, such a supportive community!

What diapers are in your stash?
BumGenius 4.0 for my husband, in the evenings when I work from home, in the evenings, and for the sitter when I go into the office a couple of days each week. But I use mainly flips covers with wahm fitteds, Flip Stay-dry inserts, gCloth, and prefolds. A few Fuzzibunz, bamboo fitteds/wool, and Thirsties too.

Favorite diaper in your stash?
pirate and monster wahm fitteds, so cute!

Biggest cloth diapering challenge?
My newborn cloth experience was pretty much a fail, I know better now!

Favorite thing about cloth diapering?
I love laundry time, fresh fluff... love the routine, and my little one will watch them go round and round in our front loaders (in our bathroom) then I can take a shower! I also love my cloth blogs I look forward to everyday and supporting wahm operations.

Least favorite thing about cloth diapering?
Being teased with all of the options out there! And I wish a company would make clothes for fluffy bums out there. (Oh, and never winning any fluff contests!!)

Favorite piece of parenting or cloth diaper advice?
Parent as if it was just you and your baby on an island... do what feels natural and right for the both of you.

Anything extra you'd like to share?
Thank you for all of the hard work you do to make cloth less intimidating for newbies!
