Beco Gemini Baby Carrier
The Beco Gemini Baby Carrier is an ergonomic carrier for babies and toddlers that are 7-35 pounds. There are four ways to wear the Beco Gemini: back carry, hip carry, front carry forward facing, and front carry inward facing. It is made with organic cotton and comes with gorgeous fabric options!

Features
Tri-lock buckles: The buckles are incredibly strong and feature a tri-lock system. There is no way for the buckles to accidentally open. You have to push on all 3 spots to unfasten them. The whole line of Beco carriers are designed by a babywearing parent, sailor, and rock climber. I think this gives Beco lots of credentials for a well-built carrier!

Adjustable base width: Use the "narrow base" for the inward facing front carry with infants 7-15 pounds or for carrying forward facing. Once your baby is 15+ pounds, switch to the "wide base" when inward facing. The wide base is used for all other carry positions.

Snap-down headrest: The headrest can be snapped down or left unsnapped for comfort for your baby.

Wide, padded shoulder straps: Comfortable, padded shoulder straps prevent the straps from digging into your shoulders.

Padded waist belt: Provides lumbar support. Extends from 28'' (size 0) to 57''.

Nursing friendly: You can nurse your little one while carrying them! I have not tried this feature, as my son was weaned during our use.

My Experience
We are a huge fan of baby wearing in this family! I first discovered baby wearing shortly after my son was born. I was finding it hard to cook dinner or do any grocery shopping. He would cry in the grocery store unless I held him. That made it impossible to get much done and I hated the way I felt when he cried in public. I always felt like I was bothering the other shoppers. We purchased a baby carrier and quickly saw the benefits. I could shop, cook, clean, and instantly get my little one to sleep!

Here we are 17 months later and we're still fans of baby wearing! We love to take the carrier with us on trips to street festivals where navigating a stroller through crowds can be a challenge. Many afternoons, my son will bring me the carrier and sign please. He loves the back carry. Anytime I'm cooking or baking he wants to be a part of it. He finds the carrier and is happy to watch over my shoulder. We recently used our Beco on a last minute, unplanned outlet mall shopping trip. We didn't have a stroller in my husband's car, but we did have our Beco!

We were shopping for clothes for me which meant I'd have to try things on. So we strapped our son, Noah into the Beco on my husband's back. Unfortunately, Chas, my husband, kept complaining that he didn't feel right. It was his first time using the Beco. He has successfully worn our other baby carrier with no problems. I'm not sure if he was expecting it to fit exactly the same way or what! Although, Noah didn't seem happy either. Chas is really tall, 6'4", and Noah's head would come to the middle of Chas' back. When I wear him, Noah can see over my shoulder. I'm short at 5'3". I think Noah was frustrated that he couldn't see out like he can when I wear him and I think Chas was uncomfortable because Noah was fidgeting and fussy.
