A Cloth Diaper Story: Mary Ann
I have a 4-1/2 year old boy and a 17 month old girl.
About Mary Ann
I am a stay at home mom, which has always been my dream career. I enjoy running, reading, and writing. I also like baking, crafts and sewing.
How long have you been cloth diapering?
I started using cloth diapers when my daughter was about 3 weeks old.
Why did you choose to cloth diaper?
I liked the idea of having less trash and saving money.
What diapers are in your stash?
Blueberry Bamboo Deluxe
thirsties duo wrap
Jelly Bear fitted
Favorite diaper in your stash?
BG Elemental in Lovelace
Biggest cloth diapering challenge?
Microfiber. I hate getting it really clean. Once I get the smell out, it starts again after just a couple uses. I switched to stuffing all my pockets with flats. Travelling with cloth is also a challenge. I miss my diaper sprayer when we're away from home!
Favorite thing about cloth diapering?
I love how comfortable and cute they look on my little girl. It's nice knowing she doesn't have a ton of chemicals in her diaper, and it's also been great to have less trash.
Least favorite thing about cloth diapering?
Favorite piece of parenting or cloth diaper advice?
Every child is different. :-)
Anything extra you'd like to share?
Thanks Jenny for giving the opportunity to share our cloth diapering stories. It's been fun reading what everyone has to say. Cloth diapering has definitely turned out to be a bit of a hobby as well as a responsibility, and it's been fun making new friends because of it.
