Flats Challenge: Reflection on Day 3

I am taking part in the Second Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge hosted by Dirty Diaper Laundry.  For 7 days I will be using only flat cloth diapers and handwashing them in an effort to prove that cloth diapering can be affordable and accessible to all.  You can learn more about the rules and why this challenge was started by visiting the announcement post.  This year there are over 450 participants from all over the world!

I'm really getting the hang of this! Don't get me wrong, I miss the ease of my pockets and being able to throw a load of diapers in the washing machine and walk away, but it is becoming my new "normal".

I finally got around to stuffing the last load of diapers I washed on Sunday. They have been sitting around waiting for me and I was able to delay doing it thanks to this challenge!

Cause of the leak
We had a leak today. It was total user error. The flat was peeking out of the cover.

I was able to dry my flats that I washed this morning outside before the storm came through this afternoon. Woohoo! I consider that a huge success for the day!

Major fail of the day? Noah peed on the carpet in his room while I got his flat ready. He thinks it's so funny to wiggle away and crawl around naked. Good thing he's so cute!

We ended up not going to church tonight. In the end I didn't have to stress about him being in the nursery with a flat.

Tomorrow is day 4! We are heading out of town with our flats tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to drying them on a clothesline instead of my rack!
